Changes in recovery software for personal computers
By necessity, recovery software has had to change drastically over the course of the last 10 years. Older scanning and recovery algorithms simply could not look through a hard drive fast enough and were not fully compatible with higher speed microprocessors. Considering that the average desktop or laptop personal computer internal hard drive has increased in size 10 fold during the last decade it is obvious that the mathematical technology used to look through those drives had to be improved. Now a quality data recovery program can scan even the largest internal or external computer hard disk drives in just a few minutes.
